Životopis
Jana Margová je mladá slabozraká sopranistka, ktorá sa špecializuje na koncertnú činnosť. Je absolventkou spevu na Akademii muzycznej im. K. Szymanowskiego v Katowicach v špecializácií na piesňovo- oratorijný repertoár v triede prof. dr hab. Ewy Biegas. Jej štúdium zahŕňalo tak poučenú interpretáciu barokovej hudby, ako aj bohatosť romantizmu s presahom do intepretácie diel 20. a 21. stor. Taktiež je absolventkou a doktorandkou na Ostravskej univerzite, kde sa sústreďuje na hermeneutiku a semiotiku nemeckej romantickej Lied.
Aktívne koncertuje doma i v zahraničí. V roku 2025 sa ako sólistka podieľala na znovuobjavovaní tvorby ranobarokového skladateľa A. Hammerschdmita v rámci umeleckej rezidencie v nemeckom Görlitzi s medzinárodným ansámblom La Compagnia Sassione, s ktorým sa ako sólistka predstavila aj na festivale Olomoucké hudební jaro. Vystúpila však na mnohých sakrálnych koncertoch či piesňových recitáloch – možno spomenúť: v roku 2025 Filharmóniu Zabrze (S. Chrzanowski); Janáčkovu filharmóniu (A. Sedlický, 2024) či Filharmóniu Warmińsko-Mazurską (K. Wnuk, 2024). V 2024 interpretovala prvý soprán v Pergolesiho Stabat Mater a Vivaldiho Glorii (K. Krzyźanowska, 2024). Tiež vystúpila na sólovom recitále s M. Maračkom na festivale Musica Sacra. V roku 2023 spievala prvý part v poučenej interpretácií ikonického diela Leçons de Ténèbres F. Couperina. V minulosti sa ako sólistka predstavila pod taktovkou Andreja Harvana pri príležitosti uvedení diel Antona Aschnera (Štátna filharmónia Košice, 2019) či Igora Dohoviča s komorným orchestrom Musica Iuvenalis.
V sezóne 2024/2025 ešte ako študentka debutovala v Opere Ślaskiej v Bytomiu ako Suor Angelica v rovnomennej Pucciniho opere (M. Znaniecki, J. Dybal). S orchestrom NUSO Kharkiv tiež v rámci akadémie interpretovala Grófku z Figarovej svadby v rámci koncertného prevedenia (2023, Dybal). Zhostila sa dvojrole Amora a Nevďačnice v Monteverdiho opere Il Ballo delle Ingrate, SV 167, v poučenej interpretácií (J. Čižmář, M. Raczyński). Je taktiež absolventkou Letní školy barokní hudby v sólovej triede u D. Šaškovej či Akademie Versailles v triede Chantal Santon Jeffery (2023).
Speváčka je nositeľkou viacerých ocenení doma i v zahraničí. V roku 2024 bola ako štvrtá na International Lieder Competition Bolko von Hochberg v nemeckom Görlitzi ocenená dvoma špeciálnymi cenami: organizáciou Ars Augusta a rakúskym festivalom Belle Voci. Tiež obdržala 2. miesto na XII. Ogólnopolskim konkursie wokalnym im. Z. Skwary. Z roku 2023 možno spomenúť interpretačné ceny z V. Międzynarodowego konkursu solowej wokalistyki sakralnej Ars et Gloria a z Medzinárodnej speváckej súťaže Iuventus Canti vo Vrábľoch, 2. miesto z Mezinárodní pěvecké Duškovy soutěže v Prahe (2022) a 3. miesto plus cenu poroty zo súťaže Pražský pěvec (2022). Avšak ceny obdržiavala už počas štúdií na Štátnom konzervatóriu v Košiciach: 1. cenu na Medzinárodnej súťaži Antonína Dvořáka, Karlovy Vary, 2017, v kategórií Operní naděje, či dvojité umiestnenie na Štátnej súťaži konzervatórií (2017, 3. miesto; 2019, 2. miesto).
Biography:
Jana Margová is a young visually impaired soprano specializing in concert performance. She graduated in voice from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, specializing in song and oratorio repertoire in the class of Prof. dr hab. Ewa Biegas. Her studies encompassed both historically informed interpretation of Baroque music and the richness of Romantic repertoire, extending to the interpretation of works of the 20th and 21st centuries. She is also a graduate and doctoral student at the University of Ostrava, where her research focuses on the hermeneutics and semiotics of the German Romantic Lied.
She performs actively both at home and abroad. In 2025, as a soloist, she took part in the rediscovery of works by the early Baroque composer A. Hammerschmidt as part of an artistic residency in Görlitz, Germany, with the international ensemble La Compagnia Sassione, with whom she also appeared as a soloist at the Olomouc Musical Spring festival. She has also performed in numerous sacred concerts and song recitals, including appearances in 2025 with the Zabrze Philharmonic (S. Chrzanowski), with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava (A. Sedlický, 2024), and with the Warmia-Masuria Philharmonic (K. Wnuk, 2024). In 2024, she performed the first soprano part in Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and Vivaldi's Gloria (K. Krzyżanowska, 2024). She also gave a solo recital with M. Maraček at the Musica Sacra festival. In 2023, she sang the first part in a historically informed performance of François Couperin's iconic Leçons de Ténèbres. In the past, she appeared as a soloist under the baton of Andrej Harvan on the occasion of performances of works by Anton Aschner (State Philharmonic Košice, 2019) and Igor Dohovič with the Musica Iuvenalis chamber orchestra.
In the 2024/2025 season, while still a student, she made her debut at Opera Śląska in Bytom as Suor Angelica in Puccini's opera of the same name (M. Znaniecki, J. Dybal). With the NUSO Kharkiv Orchestra, she also performed the Countess from Le nozze di Figaro in concert as part of an academy programme (2023, Dybal). She took on the double role of Amore and the Ungrateful Woman in Monteverdi's opera Il ballo delle ingrate, SV 167, in a historically informed production (J. Čižmář, M. Raczyński). She is also an alumna of the Summer School of Baroque Music, where she studied in the solo class of D. Šašková, and of the Académie de Versailles in the class of Chantal Santon Jeffery (2023).
The singer is the recipient of several awards at home and abroad. In 2024, having placed fourth at the International Lieder Competition Bolko von Hochberg in Görlitz, Germany, she was awarded two special prizes: from the Ars Augusta organisation and from the Austrian festival Belle Voci. She also received 2nd prize at the 12th Z. Skwara National Vocal Competition. In 2023, she received interpretation prizes at the 5th International Competition of Solo Sacred Vocal Music Ars et Gloria and at the Iuventus Canti International Vocal Competition in Vráble. She also won 2nd prize at the International Dušek Singing Competition in Prague (2022), and 3rd prize together with the Jury Prize at the Prague Singer competition (2022). She had already received awards during her studies at the State Conservatory in Košice: 1st prize at the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary in the Opera Hopes category (2017), as well as two prizes at the National Competition of Conservatories (2017, 3rd prize; 2019, 2nd prize).
